Strawberries and Grand Marnier Zabaglione
The Grand Marnier custard served warm over fresh sweet strawberries is the perfect ending to any dinner!
PREP TIME: 10 minutes
COOK TIME:  3 minutes
2 cups strawberries, thinly sliced
3 large egg yolks
2 tablespoons Grand Marnier
2 tablespoons water
1-1/2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon creme fraiche or sour cream
  1. Divide strawberries between 2 bowls or wine or martini glasses.
  2. In a medium size bowl, whisk egg yolks Grand Marnier, 2 tablespoons water, and sugar. Set bowl over a large saucepan with simmering water (water should not touch the bottom of the bowl). Continue whisking until mixture becomes thick and foamy, about 2-3 minutes.  Remove the bowl from heat and whisk for 1 more minute.  Whisk in the creme fraiche or sour cream. 
  3. Spoon he warm zabaglione over the strawberries and serve immediately.
