You really have to try this. It may become your favorite sundae.
PREP TIME: 10 minutes
COOK TIME: 15 minutes
1 pound bacon, cut into 1" pieces
3 ripe bananas, cut into 1/2" slices
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 quart vanilla ice cream
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the bacon until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain the bacon on a paper towel-lined plate and set aside.
Reduce the heat to medium. In the same skillet with the bacon drippings, place the banana slices, sprinkle with the brown sugar and cook for one minute. With a spatula, flip the banana slices and cook for one more minute. Drain the banana slices on a paper towel-lined plate.
Place large scoops of ice cream in bowls, cups or sundae dishes; top with warm bacon and banana slices.
