Bananas Foster

This is one of the easiest and tastiest desserts we've tried.  No wonder they love it in New Orleans!

INGREDIENTS

2 bananas, peeled and sliced in half lengthwise
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup dark brown sugar 
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 cup white rum
vanilla ice cream

DIRECTIONS

Drizzle bananas with the lemon juice. Melt butter with the sugar in a 12-inch skillet. Add bananas and sauté until just tender. Sprinkle with the cinnamon.

Remove from the heat and add rum. 

Place ice cream in four dishes. Top each one with a banana half and a quarter of the sauce. Serve immediately.
