Bacon cheddar Jalapeno Poppers

If you want a real pop, leave in some of the seeds.
PREP TIME:  15 minutes
COOK TIME:  10 minutes

8 ounce package Cheddar cheese

6 jalapeno peppers, seeded and halved

12 slices bacon


  1. Preheat the broiler.  Line a medium sized baking sheet with foil.
  2. In a large skillet cook the bacon until lightly browned, but still limp enough to wrap.
  3. Cut cheddar cheese into 12 slices sized to fit into each jalapeno half.  Insert cheese slices into the halves.  Wrap the jalapeno halves with the bacon slices, securing with a toothpick, if necessary and place on baking sheet.
  4. Broil 5 to 10 minutes or until the bacon is evenly brown and cheese has melted.
