1 pound thin sliced bacon, cut into thirds (if using center cut bacon, cut slices in half)
1 (14 ounce) package beef cocktail wieners
1/2 cup brown sugar, or to taste
Preheat oven to 325°F. You will need a large baking sheet (with sides) lined with foil.
Cook the bacon in a skillet until lightly browned, but not crisp. Drain bacon on a paper towel and let cool enough to handle. Wrap each cocktail wiener with a piece of bacon, secure with a toothpick and place on foil lined baking sheet. Generously sprinkle brown sugar over wieners.
Serve with a variety of mustards or Horseradish Dip: 2/3 cup sour cream, 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 3 teaspoons prepared horseradish, 3/4 teaspoon sugar and 1/4 teaspoon dill weed mixed together.
