Carmalized pear and sage crostini

The crunch of the baguette, sweetness of the pears and distinct taste of the cheese creates a delightful flavor with every bite.
PREP TIME: 15 min
COOK TIME: 20 min.
4 T butter
3 ripe Bartlett pears (peel, core and cube)
1/2 t salt
1 rustic baguette sliced diagonally 1/2” thick
6 sage leaves chopped
1/4 c Camembert or blue cheese crumbled
1/4 t pepper
  1. Preheat oven 375 degrees.  Melt 3 T butter in a large trying pan over medium heat.  Add pears and salt, sauté until pears are soft, about 10 min. Add sage and remove from the heat.  Brush baguette slices with remaining butter, arrange on baking sheet, single layer and bake (8-10 minutes) or until lightly toasted.   Top baguettes with pear mixture, cheese and sprinkle with pepper.  Serve warm.
